This is Random Acts of Publicity Week (Darcy Pattison says so, and she rocks), so I’m going to be highlighting some of my favorite books and interviews. Today’s spotlight is on…The Buddy Files!

Dori Hillestad Butler is made of awesome. She’s not only written over thirty books for kids, but she and her dog Mouse are a registered Pet Partner team that help kids with reading. Using her canine inspiration, Dori’s latest project is The Buddy Files, a series of chapter books staring a mystery-solving dog named Buddy.

Don’t you just hate it when a book sucks you in and then you have to wait for the sequel? Fear not, readers, because the first three Buddy Files books are now available in paperback, and numbers 4 and 5 are coming in March. If you can’t wait that long, visit Dori at her website and blog, and read my interview with her. Now get out there and get reading!

Edit: The news gets even better. Book 4 is available NOW, with Book 5 due next spring and Book 6 coming next fall!
